Fake Doome wads reviewed by me and friends under fake names. Released as the fictional character Poogagunner. Which friends? It's a secret but you can solve a puzzle on the page to find out.
My first real time doing comedy writing with actual structure, I suppose, I want to flesh out my site a bit more so sure! I can talk about it. Specifically my articles are the ones on TNT: Emergence, Starline, Junkfood 4 The Way We Remember It, A Day in the Life of NiGHTS108, Sunlust 2, Blues Brothers 2025, iiiivyPhone, Sunlust 5 and Sunlust Minus One. I'll talk about the interesting ones.
Sunlust 2: This was inspired by that one tweet about Kanye. Also in terms of the content of the wad, based on the existing portrayal of "Sunlust 2" on Poogagunner. Sunlust 5 runs deeper with the jokes about everyone loving Ribbiks but I'm proud of just the simple ludicrousness of this one.
Blues Brothers 2025: I really should've run further with the joke because it's too short to really feel the momentum of the article going completely off the rails, it sort of just happens. I just felt self-conscious about halfway through writing it, as you would.
iiiivyPhone: This one might be foreshadowing for a future project involving fake wads. I'm really happy with all the stuff about the fake mapping standard for this and imagining the results if a mapping standard were basically just to be an iPhone app development tool. My only regret is I should've leaned harder into the parody of the iPhone's reveal and parodying Steve Jobs in general. The "Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow" joke is directly from GameClam.
Sunlust 5: Also inspired by that one tweet about Kanye but runs deeper with the idea of what a wad like what that tweet describes would actually entail. I was dying laughing crediting Ribbiks in a wad he's not even in for level design that's actually just from Doom II.
